Proof!

I have to say I’m impressed. In fact, I’m damn excited!

Although I never had any doubt that my source saw Gov. Frank Cotton at Riverside Cemetery, I suspected her video would be blurry, dark and otherwise ambiguous.

Call me committed to this story folks, but I see nothing ambiguous about this footage. In it, the governor stands before a receiving vault with what looks like Gary Orp, his campaign manager. This is days after Bethany was interred there.

But was she still inside?

That remains the million dollar question as we seek to prove that young Calvin Cotton made off with the body of his bride and that his father’s campaign has been trying to cover it up ever since.

The video makes clear this: when Gov. Cotton should have been busy on the campaign trail, he made a sudden and secret trip to his hometown cemetery.

“At the time, all you read about in the newspaper was that the governor was here, the governor was there,” said my source, now one of my favorite people in the world. “That very day, there was a story reporting Cotton would be in Atlanta. That’s why I was startled to see him and why I started running video.”

God bless you, source, and your cell phone camera, too. And now, what say you, people?

    Well, I’ll be a son of a…
I’m going to wait for an explanation from Cotton’s people before I say much about this. It’s a glaring invasion of privacy, at first glance.

I knew it!! There is something fishy going on with Cotton, and his son! This is getting kind of creepy. But..I want to know more! I want to know what the hell is going on.
Devon, how do you view this as an invasion of privacy? It’s a cemetery that’s open to the public. If Cotton didn’t want to be seen there, he should have stayed home! Just goes to prove that Nilan has more dirt to dig. No pun intended.

Give it up, Devon. There’s no privacy issue here unless it’s on the part of Cotton and his skinny campaign man sniffing around a receiving vault. For someone who should have been irritated by the presence of a stranger with a camera, they sure took off in a hurry.
I have to admit, the video shows more than I expected it too, though I wish there was a time stamp there. Call me a half believer at this point.

Ah-ha! There’s the proof. A smoking gun. It’s over. Time to call in the FBI.
Kudos the investigative press on this one. Way to go Joey!
Oh, and a tip o’ the hat to old Mush-mouth Mark. Just goes to show that even a LaFlamme can turn up some heat.

Okay, you’ve proven that Gov. Cotton has visited a cemetery with a well dressed friend at least once in his life. Should we just go ahead and slap your name on the Pulitzer Prize? Woodward & Bernstein will probably be calling you for advice on how to break the big stories.
    Seriously, what does this prove?

    Hey Frisbie,
What’s wrong with you, dude? Even Cyclops could see that Cotton is hiding something; why else would be be skulking off the way he does in the video?
If nothing else, it proves he’s guilty of not being up front with the people he wants to serve. And we’ve had enough of people like Cheney pulling that one already.
Admit it, man. They got him. It’s over. Count the days to the great October Surprise — and the headline won’t be that Cotton’s constipated!

I have to agree with Old Dawg. Looks like they were both skulking off.

Finished the book! If “Dirt” is real life account of sins in the Cotton family, the good governor has A LOT more to answer for than a simple case of grave robbery. Holy shit! A great read and more than a little unsettling given the current circumstances.

That really proves nothing other than our fair candidate for prez likes to hang out in cemeteries.
